San Marino will be represented in this year's Eurovision Song Contest by Senhit Zadik Zadik, better known as Senit. Born in Bologna from an Eritrean family, Senit will try to achieve a good position in the final rank. The goal of the broadcaster is sending the Sammarinese entry to the European airplays and charts.

SMRTV is said to make its return to the Eurovision Song Contest with a renewed approach: "A cosmopolitan artist together with an international production team who will assure that the tiny Republic will meet the standards required by the contest".

The members of the production team are yet to be announced, although SMRTV assures that they will be "established professionals, who will assist and coordinate all the stages of the project, from the preview video clip to the choice of the song, up to the involvement in many promotional initiatives already planned for the Eurovision weeks".

At this stage, no information as to the song selection method has been made public. SMRTV will announce the details in the coming days. However, it is certain that Senit will not be alone on the Düsseldorf stage. A team of "backing vocalists and musicians" will accompany her during her Eurovision experience.
