Just like every year, OGAE Greece club, the local branch of the international Eurovision Song Contest fan network, will be meeting and greeting all the participants in Greece's 2011 preselection for Dusseldorf. The meetings take place in the center of Athens, at the Metropolis Live Stage in the presence of fans and press. First in the series were Trihimitonio last week and tomorrow, Antegone Psychrami will be the next OGAE Greece guest.

In an exclusive interview with OGAE Greece's Krikor Kiforkian, Trihimitonio spoke about their career and their involvement in the Eurovision Song Contest preselection.

Marios Koumas, Dimitris Pasiosand Angelos Avgoustihave been working together for a long time now and became widely known in Greece when they were voted third in the 2008 edition of The X-Factor which also introduced two more of this year's hopefuls, Kokkina halia and Lukas. Their first CD album was released last week on the exact same day of the meeting with OGAE. Among the contributors we see Alex Panayi, well-known to Eurofans from his participations for Cyprus and the work he has done as a backing vocalist and stage manager mainly with Helena Paparizou (2005), Fabrizio Faniello (2006) and Sakis Rouvas in 2009.

Trihimotonio reveal that although they are still looking at songs for the final, they are determined to sing in Greek. When asked about whether a country should sing in their own language or English, Trihimitonio told Krikor: "That's pretty much a double edged knife! On one hand, it's great for a country to sing in their own language and carry you away just with the music. on the other hand it's good for the song to be understandable by the audience." And Marios concludes: "Naturally, it all depends on the individual artist and the energy each has to offer on stage!"

Trihimitonio admit to being long time fans of the Eurovision Song Contest and explain that they had never considered taking part, seriously at least. They are very happy, though, as they love everything that involves music, especially such a hugely popular event. "The greatest thing is that it brings nations together through music" they say.

"If everything goes well and we manage to qualify, we have a lot of things to live!Experiences in other countries, different cultures, artists, songs. Lots of things to learn and gain!" Trihimitonio conclude.

Tomorrow, Wednesday at 8 pm, Antegone Psychrami will be OGAE Greece's guest at the Metropolis Live Stage.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
