TVE, the Spanish public broacaster, has informed esctoday.com that an official press conference will be held on Tuesday the 25th of January at 12:00 CET at the TVE Torrespaña headquarters in Madrid. All the details, rules and regulations on the 2011 Spanish Eurovision national final will be revealed and officially presented to the media.
Spanish media has been invited to attend a special press conference on Tuesday the 25th of January where the Destino Eurovisión, Spanish 2011 national final project, will be officially presented. Lola Molina, head of TVE Programmes and Contents Dept, will be present along with the host Anne Igartiburu. TVE will reveal all the details and information on the 2011 Spanish Eurovisionselection format during the press conference.
TVE has been very busy preparing their 2011 Eurovision national final, which promises to be both spectacular and exciting. A total of 24 candidates have been shortlisted in order to compete in the Spanish Eurovision national selection. The Spanish broadcaster has scheduled a total of 4 shows which will kick off on Friday the 28th of January. Twenty songs have been shortlisted from the more than 1,100 entries received. Both the song and singer will be selected separately.
The Spanish national selection will be hosted by Anne Igartiburu and will be held at the Sant Cugat Studios in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona. Destino Eurovisión will beaired live on TVE1 and is likely to be aired live on TVE International Europe via satellite as well.
