The European Broadcasting Union has announced today that Germany's flagship airline Lufthansa will be the official airline for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011. As a result of the agreement between both parties, special discount fares for fans, press and delegates.

"The Eurovision Song Contest is all about bringing people together from all over Europe and even the world, so this is a great partnership: Europe's biggest airline and Europe's biggest TV show. We are delighted that Lufthansa has come on board," said Jørgen Franck, Directorad interimof Eurovision TV.

Thanks to the agreement reached by the EBU and Lufthansa, the latter will enjoy extensive pan-European association, event, media and new media rights for the upcoming Eurovision events in Germany.
