CyBC has announced that a special jury of 7 members will hear all the 11 received entries and will choose a song for Christos Mylordou, the 2011 Eurovision representative. The song will be presented officially to the Cypriot public in a show in late February.The whole selection process will be supervised by the auditing firm KPMG. Hence there will be no national final in Cyprus this year.

Christos Mylordou won the golden ticket to represent Cyprus at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest last September. Now the Cypriot broadcaster has decided to internally select their 2011 Eurovision entry, which will be presented ina special televised show next February.

Cyprus debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1981 and is yet to win the Eurovision Song Contest. Cyprus's best placing has been a 5th placing in 1982 with Anna Vissi (Mono i agapi),in 1997 with Hara and Andreas Konstantinou (Mana mou) and 2004 with Lisa Andreas (Stronger every minute).
