Spanish public broadcaster RTVE are starting promoting their 2011 Eurovision selection process. In a promo video aired from today, it has been mentioned that 30 artists will participate in the televised galas. Bearing in mind that 24 candidates will qualify from the auditions phase, it becomes clear that 6 will be the number of established artists that RTVE will invite to participate as jokers.

It is yet to be announced the names of the 24 singers that will pass the castings. Their preliminary auditions can be watched here.

The official dates for the broadcast of the Spanish semifinals are yet to be disclosed as well. However, several sources have reported January 24th as the most likely date when the Spanish televised selection will start.
