Hotel FM to represent Romania in Düsseldorf

Hotel FM will represent Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf. The well-known musical group won the right to wave the Romanian flag this year in Germany, as well as a special designed trophy and a BMW (3 Series) automobile.

Hotel FM is a popular Romanian music group from the Northwestern part of the country. They had alsotried their luck at last year's national selection but eventually finished on the 4th place with their self composed song Come as one. This year they will represent Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest with Change, a song composed by Gabriel Baruta.

The line-up of Hotel FM is as follows: David Bryan (lead vocals), Gabriel Baruta (piano & backing vocals) and Alex Szus (drums). David Bryan is originally from Newton Aycliffe in North-East England.

    Our readers clearly supported another candidate to win the Romanian trophy. Claudia Pavel took the lead with an impressive 38.4%, followed by Mihai Alexandru feat. B-Body & Soul, Laeticia and Hotel FM in fourth place with 9.6% of the vote.
