Austrian artist and Eurovision 2014 winner Conchita Wurst was the graceful host of the 18th Amadeus Austrian Music Awards, and brought a fitting tribute to Austrian music by covering Rock me Amadeus by iconic singer Falco.

The Amadeus Austrian Music Awards are the most prestigious music prizes in Austria. This year Conchita hosted the award show, entertaining artists, guests, nominees and viewers with her unique charm and elegance.

Broadcast live by ORF from Wiener Volkstheater, Vienna, the award show took place on Thursday evening 26 April 2018.

In style with the theme of the awards, named after legendary Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Conchita took to the stage with a cover of the song Rock me Amadeus by iconic singer-songwriter Falco, who passed away in 1998.

Conchita Wurst, drag persona of artist Thomas Neuwirth, won the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark, with the riveting song Rise like a phoenix, receiving 290 points.
