Moldovan national broadcaster TRM has announced the first details about its forthcoming Eurovision 2011 national selection process. Singers and composers will be invited to submit their applications to TRM. The Moldovan Eurovision national selection will consist of 2 parts. In the first part, a special expert jury will listen to all the songs and select around 30. In the second part, a live national final will be held, where the Moldovan Eurovision 2011 entry and representative will be chosen via a 50/50 televote and jury verdict.
TRM, the Moldovan national broadcaster, has announced the details for its forthcoming Eurovision 2011 national selection, thus calling for singers and composers to submit their applications and entries. Those who wish to apply can do so by submitting their application online here.
Singers and composers will be able to submit their applications until the 16th of January. During the first stage of the selection,an expert jury will listen to all the songsand wil select30 entries/ singers at a later stage. Then, during the 2nd stage of the selection, the potential candidates and entries will compete in a televisied national final where the 2011 Moldovan Eurovision representative will be chosen by a 50/50 jury and televote verdict.
Moldova debuted in Eurovision in 2005, when Zdob si Zdub ended up in 6th place with the song Boonika bate doba. This year they were represented by SunStroke proyect & Olia Tira, achieving a 22nd place.
