Accomplished backing vocalist Iva Banićević will join Sanja Ilić & Balkanika on the Lisbon stage.

Now that the rehearsals of Eurovision 2018 are approaching fast, acts and artists are perfecting their stage performances. Serbia’s Sanja Ilić & Balkanika have decided to add an extra voice to their group: experienced backing vocalist Iva Banićević. Iva Banićević is mostly known as backing vocalist of the popular Serbian artist Aleksandra Radović.

Iva Banićević will add her vocals to the harmonies of the group, enhancing the traditional Serbian medieval and byzantine music traditions they want to preserve. Moreover, the choice for the talented young Iva Banićević reflects the message of the group’s Eurovision 2018 entry Nova deca, or “new generation”.
