Denmark’s representative Rasmussen has gathered his dream team for Lisbon 2018.

Jonas Rasmussen from Denmark is getting ready to take the Eurovision stage by storm. The red-bearded Viking has gathered his crew, setting sail to Portugal with the entry Higher ground. Broadcaster DR has presented Rasmussen’s backing vocalists, each of a them a formidable companion for Rasmussen.

Let’s take a closer look at them:

Daniel “Dan” Firth is an accomplished artist in his own right, Gustav Emil Bresler is the frontman of the group Walk My Elephant, actor and singer Jesper Paasch fittingly played the role of ancient Danish king Harald Blåtand Gormsen besides singing in musicals, while Mads Engelhardt sings in a successful cover band. These four will take to the stage alongside Rasmussen.

The fifth companion is Anders Ørsager, one of Denmark’s most accomplished vocal coaches and former member of the group Basix, who placed second in the Danish ESC-selection Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2001. He will be responsible for coaching, choreography and staging.

Rasmussen is very pleased with his team:

There are really some cute boys, and at the same time they are some of the most talented singers. So it’s a very good team we’ve gathered. And then I’m so fortunate that I’m a singer – otherwise nobody would think I was interesting in this bunch of delicious men.

Rasmussen will perform Higher ground from position 5 in the first half of Semi-Final 2 on Thursday 10 May 2018.
