Switzerland: Sven Epiney confirmed as SRF’s Eurovision commentator

The forthcoming edition of the Eurovision Song Contest is adding more and more details to the organisational machine. Sven Epiney will be SRF’s Eurovision man from Lisbon.

Swiss national broadcaster SRF confirmed on its website that famous Swiss TV-host Sven Epiney will be the commentator for the landlocked country from Lisbon. Epiney is not new to the show, having also hosted the Entscheidungshow, the national final, these past years.

Sven Epiney, 46, is a famous Swiss TV and radio host, as well as a former singer himself. In his youth he founded the duo Pure Pleasure with Reto Peritz, the current Swiss head of delegation for the Eurovision Song Contest. He has hosted various talent shows in Switzerland, and is very appreciated in the entire country, as he is fluent in German, French, Italian and English.

Switzerland in Eurovision 2018

Switzerland will be represented in Lisbon by the duo Zibbz, with the song Stones. They are set to enter the competition during the First Semi-Final on Tuesday, 8 May 2018, performing as number 17th of the show.
