Danish public broadcaster DR have announced the hosts for the country's national final for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, Melodi Grand Prix. Felix Smith and Lise Rønne will welcome the Danish and European audience on February 26th.
Melodi Grand Prix 2011 will be the third consecutive domestic national final to be hosted by Felix Smith. "In 2009, we came 13th. In 2010, we came 4th. And now Denmark will become number 1 in the Eurovision Song Contest", declared Felix Smith, wishing to take the competition back to home soil.
Felix adds: "I have reached the point now where I've set myself that everything has been wasted if we do not win!I'll have to go on until we win", says Felix, who despite being three times the host of Melodi Grand Prix, he does not feel like a"Grand Prix institution".
Meanwhile, preparations for the local competition are in full swing at the Ballerup Super Arena. The 10 songs to proceed to the national final will be known in early February.
