In the series of special behind the scenes Eurovision 2018 videos released by RTP, the Portuguese national broadcaster, today we bring you the latest video featuring RTP’s Joana Teles speaking to the Commentator’s Manager.

Joana Teles takes today to the Eurovision 2018 Production Team’s headquarters at Pavilhão de Portugal  for yet another sneak peak on the ongoing Eurovision 2018 preparations. She meets up one with the commentators manager and sheds more light on his job.

João Paulo Silva has been appointed as the Eurovision 2018 Commentators’ Manager by RTP. He is the man who will be responsible for coordinating with all the broadcasters who will be commentating the Eurovision shows live from the Altice Arena in Lisbon.

35 countries have applied for a commentator’s booth in the Atlice Arena, including China .

China doesn’t participate in the Eurovision Song Contest but will broadcast the event live for the fourth consecutive year. Several countries will not be sending a commentor to Lisbon and will commentate the shows from home.

There will be circa 40 commentator booths at the Altice Arena for Eurovision 2o18.

The 2018 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 8, 10, 12 May at the Altice Arena in Lisbon.
