RTP, the Portuguese national broadcaster is heating up the engines for the forthcoming 2018 Eurovision Song Contest. The clock is ticking and the days are flying with just a month left for the Grand Final! The 2018 Eurovision host broadcaster will be airing a special program Falta Um Mês Para a Eurovisão (1 month left for Eurovision) on Thursday 12 April.
About Falta Um Mês Para a Eurovisão
RTP is all set to begin the countdown to the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. Portugal will be hosting the Eurovision Song Contest for the very first time in the history of our beloved contest.
RTP, the Portuguese national broadcaster has prepared a 5 hour Eurovision special in order to enlighten its viewers and the Portuguese audience with the latest information and developments regarding the ongoing preparations for Europe’s favorite television show. The broadcaster invites us to discover the Eurovision 2018 backstage and behind the scenes preparations during this special broadcast.
The show will be broadcast live on Monday 12 April and will consist of 2 parts: the first part will be aired in the morning (11:00-13:17 CET) whilst the second part (15:45 – 18:30) will be aired in the afternoon.
The morning show will be hosted by Sónia Araújo whilst the afternoon show will be hosted by Tânia Ribas de Oliveira.
Whilst Jorge Gabriel and José Pedro Vasconcelos will be reporting live from the Production Team’s Headquarters at Pavilhão de Portugal, showcasing the Eurovision 2018 creative and core teams’ ongoing preparations.
During this special program RTP is set to unveil many surprises and secrets regarding the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest and bring us the latest news and developments from the Altice Arena and stage construction, Lisbon’s ongoing Eurovision preparations, the Eurovision side events in the host city etc.
During the broadcast, RTP’s Tiago Góes Ferreira will be going live from the 2018 Eurovision venue- the Altice Arena, bringing us the latest anecdotes and developments concerning the stage construction and backstage preparations.
