San Marino: Jessika and Jenifer Brening film their Eurovision postcard in Funchal

The 2018 Sammarinese Eurovision hopefuls Jessika and Jenifer Brening were in Portugal recently in order to film their Eurovision postcard, namely in the picturesque island of Funchal (Madeira).

The delegations and participants of the 43 participating countries at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest will be travelling to Portugal prior to the contest in order to film their respective presentation postcards. Each artist will be portrayed in an activity or a challenge.

The postcards will showcase the beauty of Portugal and will portray the Eurovision artists enjoying the sights and sounds of the host country.

The presentation postcards serve as a massive platform for the host country to promote its tourism and showcase itself on a global scale as millions of viewers tune in to watch Europe’s favorite television show. The Eurovision Song Contest reaches households beyond Europe, from Australia to Argentina, from China to New Zealand, from USA to India etc.

The Sammarinese Postcard

The Sammarinese postcard has been filmed in the amazingly beautiful island of Madeira and will showcase its magnificent scenery and landscapes.

The Sammarinese 2018 Eurovision hopefuls, Jessika Muscat & Jenifer Brening  filmed their Eurovision postcard on Madeira island, known to many as the Pearl of the Atlantic. The two girls will be depicted visiting the iconic of Funchal and enjoying the sights and sounds of the Atlantic island. The girls will be seen riding a basket carriage, one of the island’s most popular and celebrated attractions.

About Jessika Muscat and Jenifer Brening

Jessika Muscat & Jenifer Brening were crowned the winners of the 2018 Sammarinese national final and will fly to Lisbon with Who we are.

Jessika is well known amongst Eurovision fans as she has tried to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest on  several ocassions, having competed in the country’s national final.

San Marino in Eurovision

San Marino debuted in Eurovision in 2008 and is yet to win the event. The country has only qualified once to the Grand Final, namely in 2014 with Valentina Monetta’s Maybe. Valentina Monetta represented the country 3 years in a row (2012, 2013 & 2014).

San Marino will compete in the Second Semi-final of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest on 10 May in Lisbon.
