One more act confirmed to take part in Melodifestivalen 2011 is the rockabilly band The Playtones. They will be singing the song The king, composed by Fredrik Kempe and Peter Kvint.

The Playtones became known to the Swedish public thanks to their participation in the TV show Dansbandskampen, which they went on to win. Now they will try their luck at Melodifestivalen 2011 with The king, a song composed by the acclaimed authors Fredrik Kempe and Peter Kvint, both with experience in Eurovision and the domestic national selection.

The members of The Playtones are Stefan Jonasson (voice, piano, acoustic guitar), Andreas Carlsson (guitar, supporting voice), Per Sennerhall (drums), Peter Andersson (steel guitar) and Mattias Schertell (bass).
