RTP, the Portuguese national broadcaster is heating up the engines for the forthcoming 2018 Eurovision Song Contest. The countdown to Lisbon has begun! The 2018 Eurovision host broadcaster will be airing a special program Faltam 2 meses para a Eurovisão (2 months left for Eurovision) on Monday 12 March coinciding with the Heads of Delegation meeting in Lisbon.

About Faltam 2 meses para a Eurovisão

RTP is all set to begin the countdown to the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. Portugal will be hosting the Eurovision Song Contest for the very first time in the history of our beloved contest.

RTP, the Portuguese national broadcaster has prepared a 5 hour Eurovision special in order to enlighten its viewers and the Portuguese audience with the latest information and developments regarding the ongoing preparations for Europe’s favorite television show. The broadcaster invites us to discover the Eurovision 2018 backstage and behind the scenes preparations during this special broadcast.

The show will be broadcast live on Monday 12 March and will consist of 2 parts: the first part will be aired in the morning (11:00-13:15 CET) whilst the second part (15:45 – 18:30) will be aired in the afternoon.

The morning show will be hosted by Sónia Araújo and Jorge Gabriel whilst the afternoon show will be hosted by Tânia Ribas de Oliveira and José Pedro Vasconcelos.

During this special program RTP is set to unveil many surprises and secrets regarding the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest and bring use the latest news and developments on the competing acts and entries, the Heads of Delegation Meeting in Lisbon, the stage, Lisbon’s ongoing Eurovision preparations etc.

Many Eurovision related personalities will be gracing the show; Gonçalo Madail ( RTP’s Creative Manager for ESC 2018), Claudia Pascoal and Isaura (Portugal 2018), Eurovision fans etc

During the broadcast, Joana Teles will be going live from the Heads of Delegations Meeting in Lisbon and bringing us the latest anecdotes and developments concerning the 42 visiting delegations and the home delegation(Portugal).

You can watch Faltam 2 meses para a Eurovisão PART 1  from 10:00 local time (11:00 CET) and  PART 2  from 14:45 local time (15:45 CET) on the following channels:

The 2018 Eurovision  Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 8, 10 and 12 May at the Altice Arena, in Lisbon.
