Ilse DeLange, frontwoman of The Common Linnets, has shared a video of her debut in the American series Nahville.
Ilse DeLange plays the role of Ilse de Witt, a coach in a talent show. The Dutch singer is very proud of her first major acting venture, no less in a popular show such as Nashville on CMT, in the United States.
She shared a video of her debut on Facebook:
It’s 4.30 am here in Nashville… so, proper Jetlag time to be awake:) just saw this post of Nashville on CMT and wanted to share it…. it is still kind of surreal that I’m a part of this great show. A show that’s about the music scene in Nashville, the place where my career started all these years ago. It’s a full circle kinda thing for me… feeling very thankful that I get to live this dream. Always still feeling like I’m at the beginning of new adventures is a great way to live. Thank you Callie Khouri for this amazing opportunity.

About Nashville
Nashville is a musical drama series, following the lives of various fictional country stars, most notably veteran Rayna Jaymes (played by Connie Britton, American Horror Story, 9-1-1) and young rising star Juliette Barnes (portrayed by Hayden Panettiere, Heroes, Kingdom Hearts).
The fame, fortune, conflicts, loves and lives of the characters and their struggle in the music business form the theme of the show.
Both the show and its actors have won numerous awards.
About The Common Linnets
In 2014 The Common Linnets (a project conceived by Ilse DeLange, a successful solo-artist in her own right), together with guest singer Waylon, represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Winning Semi-Final 1, they ultimately reached the honourable 2nd place in the Grand Final, receiving 238 points with their entry Calm after the storm.
