Moldova is getting ready for the final of O Melodie Pentru Europa 2018, selecting the country’s Eurovision 2018 representative.
The show
It’s getting exciting in Moldova, as the country is all set for the Grand Final of its national Eurovision selection O Melodie Pentru Europa 2018. With an honourable 3rd place at the Eurovision 2017 Grand Final, Moldova certainly has set the stakes high. Although a semi-final had been planned, broadcaster TRM (TeleRadio-Moldova) decided to directly organize a single Grand Final show, letting the potential stars shine in their own right. A line-up of 16 diverse artists will take to the stage, competing for a ticket to Lisbon, Portugal.
TRM will deliver a riveting final show held at the TRM Studios in Moldova’s historic capital Chișinău.

The voting process
The winner of O Melodie Pentru Europa 2018 and thus Moldova’ Eurovision 2018 representative will be chosen by a 50/50 jury-public voting system: a professional jury, led by artist Nelly Ciobanu (Eurovision 2009), will decide 50% of the outcome, while the other 50% will be delivered by public televoting.
Ultimately, we will know who will succeed SunStroke Project, who achieved an honourable 3rd place in the Grand Final of Eurovision 2017 with their upbeat hit-entry Hey mamma!, receiving 374 points.
