esctoday.com celebrated 10 years as the largest and most popular eurovision song contest website yesterday evening. A special party was produced by Club Latter in Norway in honour of our site, our readers and our work. esctoday.com would like to take this opportunity to thank our everyone that has contributed to our work since Sietse Bakker opened the site way back in 2000.

Last night, to celebrate and share our own little moment in Oslo, esctoday.com's team and readers were treated to special performances from 1985 Eurovision Song Contest winners Bobbysocks, who performed four of their hits and Christer Bjorkman, who brushed off the disappointment and heartache of failing to reach the final as head of the Swedish delegation to take his place with fellow fans and perform his Melodifestivalen winning entry from 1992.

No fan’s party would be complete without the ultimate Eurovision Song Contest fan tribute band, and with Iceland’s 2008 entrants Euroband flying in without so much as a thought for an ashcloud. With three medleys of Eurovision song contest classics and their own song This is my life, they had the crowd buzzing.

As a special treat esctoday.com manager Barry Viniker was invitedon stage to dance with Bobbysocks during their performance of their 1985 winning song for Norway, La det swinge, the winners of the first Eurovision Song Contest he watched. Barry Viniker then thanked all of the esctoday.com readers for making it the number one Eurovision song contest web site. He also praised the hard working esctoday.com team for keeping the Eurovision song contest news updated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
