Semi-final 2 of Sweden’s Eurovision selection will take place in Gothenburg, as Melodifestivalen 2018 continues in the search for the next representative.

Melodifestivalen 2018 continues as the city of Gothenburg (Göteborg) in Sweden is all set to host semi-final 2. Swedish broadcaster SVT will again present a spectacular show that makes the potential Eurovision stars shine on stage.

Gothenburg is an excellent city to host Melodifestivalen, as its international history is in line with Eurovision’s ideals of unity: in the past, the thriving merchant city welcomed Swedish, Dutch, German and Scottish settlers, among others, and today it has a vibrant international immigrant community.

Hosted by David Lindgren and Freddie Svensson, semi-final 2 is held at venue Scandinavium.
