Australia & New Zealand: Eurovision 2010

With the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 beginning to be aired tonight from Oslo, Europe is getting itself into gear for its' favourite tv show. But numerous countries outside Europe are also broadcasting the event, even as far away as Australia and New Zealand.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2010 will be broadcast in New Zealand, but in June and July. Broadcaster Triangle/Stratos announced the dates to air the show:

  • Semi-Final 1: Saturday 19th June at 19:30 local time
  • Semi-Final 2: Saturday 26th June at 19:30 local time
  • Grand Final: Saturday 03rd July at 19:30 local time

However in Australia, broadcaster SBS is running various Eurovision shows to get everyone all excited. So far ozzies and european expatshave seen all Eurovision 2010: Countdown shows, 'Eurovision A to Z' a homegrown tongue and cheek guide for Australians to the Eurovision Song Contest over the years, and today the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009 was also broadcast.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2010 will be aired in Australiaon SBS ONE on a delayed broadcast for primetime television, so fans down under will be avoiding all the Eurovision sites until Sunday:

  • Semi-Final 1: Friday 28thMay at 19:30 local time
  • Semi-Final 2: Saturday 29thMay at 19:30 local time
  • Grand Final: Sunday 30th May at 19:30 local time
