With a little less than one month to go until the national final in Berlin, more details have been announced concerning this year’s participation of Germany. The twelve points from Germany in Lisbon will be announced by famous TV host Barbara Schöneberger.

Germany will decide its representative to the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 during a live show from Berlin on 22 February at 20:15 CET.

Unlike the recent past, German broadcaster NDR confirmed that Unser Lied für Lissabon will be hosted by Elton and Linda Zervakis. This means that famous German TV host Barbara Schöneberger, the presenter of the German national selection of these past years, will receive another role.

Eurofans do not have to worry. We will still see Barbara Schöneberger in this year’s Eurovision. She will be the German spokesperson announcing the twelve points from Berlin during the Grand Final on 12 May.

Her duties will not stop there. She will also host the pre- and after-ESC shows on 12 May on NDR and ADR.

Unser Lied Für Lissabon

Germany will decide its act to the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon on 22 February with a live show from Berlin. Six candidates will battle for the Golden Ticket. A songwriting camp has been organised by NDR in order to produce the competing songs.

Tickets for Unser Lied Für Lissabon are now available.

Germany in Eurovision

Germany is one of the founder members of the Eurovision Song Contest, having debuted in 1956. The country has won the competition twice in 1982 with Nicole and in 2010 with Lena.

In 2017, the Germans opted for a national final and sent Levina to Kyiv with Perfect life.
