Last week NRK invited the Norwegian press to see the first impression of the Eurovision 2010 stage. Esctoday.com was present and took some photos and made some videos of the two songs that were presented, Albania and Ukraine.
"Share the moment" is the idea behind the whole production, and is also influencing the way the stage appears. With more than 4500 searchlights and moving heads in the roof, not only covering the stage, but also covering the whole arena, it includes the audience with the stage design, giving the impression that the spectators are part of the whole contest.
The stage floor does not have videoscreens this year, but contains glass and mirrors, which together with light effects will give each artist a unique staging. The big amount of different kinds of lighting makes the stage flexible, giving each participating country an individual appearence, suiting the theme and feeling of each song.
