Auditions came to a close in last week’s shows: now The Next Star has moved onto the second phase of the selection – the shortlisting stage.

In this stage of the competition, the 4-member jury panel will watch the 70 audition qualifiers perform an acoustic version of a song of their choice.

The judges will then be given the difficult task of decided whether that artist should advance in the competition, or whether it’s time to leave the show.

In total, 20 artists will advance to the third stage of the show, continuing their journey on becoming the next potential Israeli representative at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest.

By this evening, we should know the names of all the remaining 13 qualifiers, each of whom will join Thursday’s 7 successful artists.
