Australian fans – Are you eagerly awaiting this year's Eurovision from Oslo? If so, you might like to be part of a studio audience for the recording of 'The A to Z of Eurovision', hosted by Australian based Eurovision commentators Julia Zemiro and Sam Pang.
Australian broadcaster, SBS, who broadcasts the Eurovision Song Contest in Australia is hosting a warm-up special for Eurovision Oslo 2010 – a 20 to 1 style show that plays the craziest, campest and most controversial moments of Eurovision with great guests and performers. For the audience, it’s also a form guide to find out who is hot this year, and what to look out for.
Julia and Sam will be joined at the Euro lounge by Eurovision legends Johnny Logan (ESC 1980, 1987, 1992), Gina G (ESC 1996), Dima Bilan (ESC 2006, 2008) and many others.Other guests include SBS’s own Les Murray and George Negus, Molly Meldrum, David McAllister from the Australian Ballet, comedian Adam Richard, Eurovision know-it-all Geoff Wallis, and Meow Meow.
Find out all about the great moments of the past – Cliff Richard crying in the toilets, the Bucks Fizz costume reveal, the backstory to Abba’s win, and some pretty astounding stories about Australia’s role in the world’s biggest pop party.
The recording is in Melbourne, Australiaon April 23rd at 19:00 local time. The show will be broadcast on SBS ONEthe Saturday before the main event in Norway.
