RTSH, the Albanian national broadcaster, has confirmed the running order of the forthcoming 2018 Albanian Eurovision national selection: 56th Festivali i Këngës.
Thunder and lightning it’s getting exciting as the first Eurovision national selection of the season is about to kick off this week. On Thursday, Albania will officially open the 2018 Eurovision national selection season.
RTSH, the Albanian national broadcaster is working round the clock in order to showcase an extraordinary show this weekend. Albania is all set to bring its best bet to Lisbon come May!
The 2018 Albanian Eurovision national selection, aka the 56th Festivali i Këngës, is scheduled to be held at the Pallati i Kongreseve in Tirana on 21, 22 and 23 December. Thus Albania will select its Eurovision act and entry on 23 December.
A total of 22 acts will be battling for the golden ticket to Lisbon. You can listen to the competing entries here. Earlier today, RTSH confirmed the allocation and running order of the 2 semi-final shows.

RTSH has revealed the running order of the two semi-finals, a total of 11 acts will battle in each of the semi-finals for a ticket to the grand finale.
Various international and Albanian artists will be gracing the Fest 56 stage during the 3 nights, including 3 former Albanian Eurovision acts: Elhaida Dani (Albania 2015), Kejsi Tola (Albania 2009) and Aurela Gaçe (Albania 2011).
Riccardo Cocciante, Kelly Guga Band, Flaka Krelani, Adelina Ismaili and Elsa Lila have all been invited to perform at the Albanian festival.
Albania in Eurovision
Albania debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004 and is yet to win the competition. The country achieved its best result in the contest in 2012, when Rona Nishliu placed 5th with Suus in Baku.
In 2017, Lindita Halimi represented Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv with World. Despite an extraordinary performance, she failed to qualify to the Grand Final.
The 2018 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 8, 10 and 12 May in Lisbon, Portugal.
