More details on the Portuguese participation in Oslo, as well the final version of the country's entry Há dias assim have been exclusively revealed to esctoday.com. For instance, the song has been rearranged in order to make it more powerful, and will be entirely sung in Portuguese by Filipa next May. Besides, she will be accompanied by Augusto Madureira on stage.
The final version of the song was in charge of music producer Fernando Martins and the author and composer Augusto Madureira. Much of the instrumental part was rebuilt in order to make the song more powerful.
Filipa will be accompanied in the Telenor Arena by Augusto Madureira himself, who will be playing the piano. Plus, a chorus is also one the new elements in the song from what was heard at Festival da Canção in Lisbon, linked to gospel elements. Its members will be Patrícia Antunes, member of Shout, who took part in Festival RTP da Canção back in 1996 and came second; Patricia Silveira, also a member of Shout, the group where Sara Tavares began singing, and Pedro Mimoso who took part in this year’s edition of Festival da Canção as a member of the band Terra d’Água.
During the next two months, Filipa has already scheduled several campaign missions, including participation in the Dutch Eurivision party on April 24. In addition to promoting the song, Filipa and the team now spend much of the time on rehearsals and settlement of details of the image to be shown on the big stage in Oslo. Optimism is the dominant word in the Portuguese delegation!
