The Maltese public is in full support of this year's Malta's entry in the Eurovision Song Contest. This was the general statement given during the launch of Thea Garrett's new fan website when surprisingly the new version of the song My dream was revealed.

Thea Garrett who recently returned back from Germany as she was recording the new version of the song My dream at Cap Sounds studios commented positively on the set up that will support her towards Oslo.

The singer that last Monday turned eighteen spoke with esctoday.com about the selected backing vocals who will accompany her on stage. In all there will be three backing vocals who were revealed earlier this week by partner website escmalta.com. The backing vocals are Pamela, Nadine Axisa and Jackie Pace Delicata. The first two participated in a number of editions in the Maltese national final and Nadine Axisa recently also worked with the composer Jason Cassar (composer of year’s Maltese entry) in the Malta Eurosong 2010.

Thea Garrett stated that Jason Cassar and the national broadcaster PBS came to an excellent choice since on one hand they selected great vocals to accompany me but on the other hand the backing singers will not over come the main voice in the song.

The Maltese Eurovision hopeful described the new version of the song My dream as exceptional which though the frame work is the same for that the Maltese and the jury voted for, the orchestration was enhanced. The Eurovision version is expected to be officially launched on cd in few weeks time.

Jesmond Darmanin who conducted the upgrade of the website on behalf of Storm Design explained that the site was given a fresh look considering that the Maltese package for Oslo is expected to be highly promoted on the net. During the launch those present were treated with a sneak preview about what the team behind the new website was doing.

Thea Garrett invited everyone to follow her road to Oslo on www.theagarrett.com Malta will compete in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest scheduled for 25th May 2010.
