After four semi finals and a second chance round, the Swedish national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 will be held tonight. A total of ten acts will compete in the final of Melodifestivalen 2010.

The show

The show to be broadcastin Sweden onSVT 1 and SVT World, aswell as Finland on YLE FST5and will start at 20:00 CET and it will be hosted by Christine Meltzer, Måns Zelmerlöw and Dolph Lundgren at Globen Arena in Stockholm. Ten acts will perform one song each and the winner will be chosen by five regional juries (in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Luleå and Umeå), six international juries (in Russia, Ireland, Norway, Greece, France and Serbia) and televoting. The eleven juries will each give 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 10 and 12 points to their respective top seven while the top seven in the televoting will be given 11, 22, 44, 66, 88, 110 and 132 points.

In 2009, Sweden was represented by Malena Ernman with the song La voix. She finished fourth in the first semi final but dropped to 21st place in the final getting 33 points. In 2010, the country will compete in the second semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 27th May.
