Results: One act eliminated in Germany

The quarter final of Unser Star für Oslo, the German performer selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 was held tonight. Five acts competed and the bottom act in the televoting was eliminated from the competition.

At the end of the televoting it was decided that Sharyhan Osman is elminated from the competition. She performed You've got the love by Florence + The Machine and her own composition Never felt the way that I feel today.

The following four acts have qualified for the semi final on Tuesday:

  • Kerstin Freking
  • Lena Mayer-Landrut
  • Christian Durstewitz
  • Jennifer Braun

The esctoday.com poll voters did not agree with the result. Based on her previous performances, Sharyhan was the second most popular act in the poll with 21.4% of the votes.

In 2009, Germany was represented by Alex Swings, Oscar Sings! with the song Miss kiss kiss bang. The duo finished 20th in the final with 35 points. As a big four country, Germany is directly qualified for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 on 29th May.
