The show
Hosts Assi Azar and Rotem Sela return this evening for the continuation of the audition stage of The Next Star, in which bidding artists will once again perform for a place in the next stage of the competition.
Auditionees will need to impress both the viewing public as well as the 4-member jury panel, this year consisting of members Static & Ben-El Tavori, Keren Peles, Harel Skaat and Assaf Amdursky, in order to gain their votes and advance in the contest.
As with previous shows, artists will need to receive 70% of the ‘Yes’ vote in order to proceed in the competition, with each jury member having a 10% say in the final outcome of each performance.
There is an exception to the rule however, as artists receiving under the 70% of the necessary ‘Yes’ vote can still be saved by the hosts of The Next Star, as has already happened in this year’s contest on 2 occasions.
