Results: Two more acts qualified in Sweden

Tonight, two more acts to compete in the final of Melodifestivalen 2010 for the Swedish ticket to Eurovision Song Contest 2010 have been determined.

Eight songs competed tonight. This heat offered the variety of styles and performances – etno – pop, rock, strong ballads brought to audience by bands and soloists.

The songs qualitfied for final:
Timoteij – Kom
Darin – You're out of my life

Following songs are entering the Andra chansen competition:
Crucified Barbara – Heaven or hell
Alcazar – Headlines

Eliminated songs:

Getty Domain – Yeba

The result of the Swedish televote agrees with the Top 4 of esctoday.com poll. Timoteij (12.3% esctoday.com) qualified directly to the final. Both televote and esctoday.com readers chose Darin (19.6%) as the owner of the second pass to the final. The esctoday.com poll leaders Alcazar (30.7%) have passed the red line together with Crucified Barbara having the 3rd position at the poll with 12.9% of votes of our readers.

The fourth heat is taking place in a week, on February 27, followed by the Andra chansen (the second chance) competition on March 6 in Orebro. The winner of Melodifestivalen 2010 will be selected in the final on March 13 in Stockholm.

In 2009, Sweden was represented by Malena Ernman with the song La voix. She finished fourth in the first semi final but dropped to 21st place in the final getting 33 points. In 2010, the country will compete in the second semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 27th May.
