Until the voting period in Spain closes on February 5th, esctoday.com will be presenting you the candidates wishing to represent their country next May in Oslo. A short bio of them, as well as their songs and links to vote for them on the RTVE official website will be provided. Today, we invite you to know a little more about �ngeles Vela, Blas Cantó, Diven, Gusanito, Jesús de Manuel, Lorena, Nessa, Rosa del Desierto, Tecnovik & Fiona and Virginia Trujillo.
Ángeles Vela – Tan lejos de ti (So far away from you)
Ángeles Vela is bidding to represent Spain for the second time, since she already tried her luck last year with the song Vístete de primavera at the series of Eurovisión 2009: El Retorno. We invite you to listen to her song for the 2010 Spanish selection below.

Blas Cantó – Hoy quisiera (Today I would like)
Blas Cantó has already experience in musical competitions, since he won the Spanish contest Veo veo twice, in 2000 and 2002. He also reached the final stages of Eurojunior 2004, the Spanish preselection for the Junior Eurovision held that year. Now he is hoping to represent Spain at the senior Eurovision with the ballad Hoy quisiera.

Diven – Sin ti ni contigo (Neither with nor without you)
Diven are a male duo hailing from the Southern city of Granada. They already tried to represent Spain last year with the song Forever with you, being a stone's throw from qualifying for the semifinals. Their attempt for 2010 is entitled Sin ti ni contigo, composed by Yann Charpentier and Mitchel Roland. You can listen to it below.

Gusanito – Soy un rumbero (I'm a rhumba-lover)
Gusanito gained some fame back in 2004 with his summer hit Vive la vida. After several years far from the spotlight, this guy is back with yet another latin-style song, Soy un rumbero.

Jesús de Manuel – Qué quieres de mí (What do you want from me)
Jesús became known to the Spanish public back in 2005, when he took part in the fourth running of the talent show Operación Triunfo. His experience on tv continued the year after appearing at the reality show Supervivientes. His entry for the Spanish selection features in his second studio album.

Lorena – Amor mágico (Magic love)
Yet another Operación Triunfo ex-contestant, Lorena won the fifth edition of the show, aired on Telecinco in 2006. Many fans will remember her memorable performace of The land of a 1000 dances. After winning the popular show, Lorena recorded two studio albums and is currently preparing her third album. Also, she starred at the musical show Los mejores años de nuestra vida last year on TVE1.

Nessa – Switch on
Nessa surprised the Spanish audience back in 2007 when she took part at the 2007 Spanish selection. She reached the semifinal back then, and was tipped by many to be the next Rosa López, judging by her powerful voice. Nessa tries again in 2010 with the song Switch on, entirely in English.

Rosa del Desierto – No tengas miedo (Don't be afraid)
This Catalan duo is back to the Spanish preselection after their attempt last year with the song Dónde estás. They participate at this year's selection with the ballad No tengas miedo, which you can listen to below.

Tecnovik & Fiona – Voy a por ti (I chase you)
This group, especialised in electronic and disco music, first applied for the Eurovision selection in Spain back in 2008, with the song Tragos de olvido. They are trying again this year, with the track Voy a por ti, which could easily become a hit over the clubs.

Virginia Trujillo – Dudas en el aire (Doubts afloat)
Last year, Virginia became one of the sensations at the Spanish national selection Eurovisión 2009: El Retorno, singing the ballad True love, composed by Rafael Artesero. She returns this year with Dudas en el aire, whose style is quite different from her first Eurovision attempt. Virginia is currently recording her debut album.
