The Festival da CanÃ§Ã£o 2010 online voting ends tonight. 24 acts will qualify in order to take part in the 2 semifinals scheduled to be held in March in Portugal. 30 acts have competed in the Portuguese Eurovision 2010 national selection online voting.
RTP, the Portuguese national broadcaster has been working very hard in order to select their 2010 Eurovision entry. RTP received 420 entries bidding to represent Portugal at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, next May. The Portuguese television shortlisted these entries to 30, which entered an online voting which kicked off on the 21st of January.
Fans were invited to vote for their favourite entries. Tonight at 11:59 GMT (00:59 CET) the online voting will end. The top 24 entries will qualify to compete at the Festival da Canção 2010 semifinals scheduled to be held in Lisbon on the 2nd and 4th of March 2010. Portugal has been competing in the Eurovision Song Contest since 1961 and is yet to win the Eurovision Song Contest.
