In 2016, Russia’s Sergey Lazarev won the hearts of the entire continent as he won Eurovision Song Contest 2016 televote. Since his participation at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm, Sergey has gone from strength to strength by adding to his musical repertoire.
Sergey Lazarev’s latest single, Tak krasivo (So beautiful), was leaked yesterday, one day before its scheduled release date. The song is a very modern, mid-tempo number, and shows off not only the power of Sergey’s vocal abilities, but also the beauty of the Russian language. It is very different to music Sergey has previously recorded, and he has said himself he is pleased to be doing something different.
“For many of you this track is unfamiliar, uncomfortable. It’s a thrill! So I’ve achieved my goal! I’m growing, developing, and I can still surprise you!”
Clearly, it worked as the song went straight to number one on the Russian itunes chart within hours of being released. You can listen to Tak krasivo via the itunes link here.
Sergey has spent his time since Eurovision releasing new music as well as touring. Earlier this year, he released the eighties inspired pop track Lucky stranger, in both English and Russian.
Sergey Lazarev represented Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the dance-pop song You are the only one.
