LTV reveals 10 Eirodziesma finalists

This morning, at a special press conference, the Latvian broadcaster LTV has announced the names of the lucky 10 acts that have been selected to participate at the country's national final for Eurovision 2010, Eirodziesma. The final will be held on February 27th in Ventspils.

The acts selected to participate at the Eirodziesma final are:

Among the candidates, we can find that Lauris Reiniks and Martins Freimanis, who represented Latvia in 2003 as members of F.L.Y. with the song Hello from Mars, bid again. Lauris, with a song performed, composed and penned by himself; and Martins as a composer and lyricist.

Eirodziesma 2010 will be held on February 27th in Ventspils. The show will consist of two parts: in the first one, all 10 hopefuls will compete to qualify to the second part, where the 3 top ranked acts will fight for the honour of representing their country in Oslo. The outcome of the show will be provided by a combination of jury vote and televote at a 50/50 stake.
