Following the appointment of Sopho Nizharadze as Georgia's representative at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest, the national broadcaster GPB has launched a call for songs. The deadline has been set on February 3rd. A total of 5 entries will be selected to take part in a televised selection, to be held in late February.

Songwriters are called to send in their songs to the national broadcaster of Georgia until the 3rd of February. The selection of the song will feature 5 internally selected entries. The winning song will be decided by a combination of jury vote and public vote. The exact date for the final has not been announced yet, although it will take place by late February.

Georgia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007, when Sopho Khalvashi sung Visionary dream in Helsinki, achieving 12th place. The year after, Diana Gurtskaya represented the country in Belgrade with the song Peace will come, which ended up 11th. Georgia missed the 2009 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest owing to political reasons.
