TVE has received more than 240 entries so far. Many familiar names and artists have submitted entries in their quest to represent Spain at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo next May.

Tonight at 23:59 CET, the Spanish national broadcaster TVE officially close the submission period for artists and composers to submit their entries and applications in order to compete at the Spanish Eurovision national selection. Shortly after validating all the elegible entries,the national broadcaster will announce the names of the participants andcandidates. Hence the online voting will kick off on TVE's official Eurovision website. Fans and Internet users will be invited to vote for their favourite entry for a period of 3 weeks. Each person will be able to vote only 5 times a day using his/her own email address.TVE wIll be supervising the voting and will be ensuring that no mass voting or cheating takes place, thus keeping an eye and seeing that all the participating candidates comply with the rules and regulations of the Spanish Eurovision 2009national final.
