Kostas Martakis was invited to a special Christmas show on Greek television channel Ant1 during the Christmas holidays. Kostas is among Greece's most sought-after artists, having gained name, fame and fortune on home soil. His latest album Pio konta went gold, featuring hits like Pio konta and Pote. Martakis mesmerised Greek viewers with his latest hits and Christmas carols at the 11 Me Mia Mazi show.

Kostas Martakis tried to represent Greece at the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Always and forever, when he competed at the 2008 Greek Eurovision national final. Eventhough the song enjoyed success in Greece and Russia, he missed out on representing Greece in Belgrade. He has enjoyed much success and glory in Russia and its neighbouring countries as he has also competed at the New Wave Song Festival in Jurmala, Latvia.

During Christmas, Kostas Martakis was invited to perform at the 11 Me Mia Mazi Christmas Special show aired on private Greek television channel Ant1. He treated his fans and viewers by singing his latest hits and Chrismtas carols.
