Estonian broadcasting company ERR announced today that a total of 155 entries have been submitted in order to participate at the national selection for Eurovision 2010 Eesti Laul, which is the highest number of applications ever. The broadcaster is happy with the high interest in the Eurovision competition in the country.

As the deadline in Estonia passed today, Mart Normet, head of ETV entertainment department said: "It shows that Eesti Laul competition lives, breathes and rocks! It will be very hard for the jury to pick up ten best songs."

As esctoday.com reported yesterday, on Monday a professional jury comprising 11 members will select a total of 10 songs to participate at the Eesti Laul 2010 final, to be held on March 12th at the Nokia Concert Hall, in Tallinn. The selected acts will be showcased on the same day on the daily TV show Ringvaade, to be broadcast on ETV.

Some of the entries were received from Rolf Junior, Ewert Sundja, Marten Kuningas, Peeter Ross, Vaiko Eplik and many others.

Thanks to Eerik P. for the submission of the information.
