The 2009 Russian Golden Grammofon Awards “Zolotoy Grammofon” were held at the State Kremlin Palace Auditorium in Moscow on the 28th of November. The show was aired on the 1st of January 2010 on Russian television Channel 1.

The 2008 Ukrainian representative Ani Lorak received an award for her song Solntce, the 2007 Russian representatives Serebro were also awarded for their song Skazhi ne molchi. Russian 1995 representative Philip Kirkorov and Valeria, who narrowly missed out on representing Russia last year at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, also received a prize.

Eurovision 2009 host Ivan Urgant was one of the presenters of the night. Dima Bilan was invited on stage to give away an award toMaxim. The 2009 Golden Grammofon Awards were full of glitz and glamour, a nightwherethe creme of the Russian musical industryand society honoured everyone with their presence.Other well-known Russian artits who received awards were Group A Studio, Maxim, Via Gra, Zara, Valery Meladzeand Group Vintage.

Ani Lorak, Serebro, Philip Kirkorov, Maxim, Vintage, A Studio and Zara mesmerised the audience with their performaces during the night.
