The Portuguese 2017 entrant, Salvador Sobral has not yet arrived at Kyiv for the rehearsals citing health problems. His sister Luisa Sobral rehearses on behalf of him in the Ukrainian capital and his arrival is expected just a little before the first semi-final, where he will perform.

On the eve of his departure to Kyiv, Salvador went to his nation’s neighbouring country Spain in order to sing his entry Amar pelos dois in Spain Callin’ International show from the Spanish national broadcaster RTVE.

Furthermore, the Portuguese entrant stated that he supports the Spanish one, Manel Navarro, for his impressive interpretation.

Salvador will perform 9th in the first semi-final evening of 9 May. The 62nd Eurovision Song Contest will take place on 9, 11 and 13 May at the IEC in Kyiv, Ukraine.
