Laura Tesoro (Antwerp, 1996) started acting from a young age, playing roles in musicals such as Annie and Domino, and having a role in the Belgian soap opera Familie (“Family”). She had her musical breakthrough when she became the runner-up in the third season of the popular TV-show The Voice Van Vlaanderen (The Voice Of Flanders) in 2014.
Laura Tesoro represented Belgium at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm, Sweden. With her upbeat song What’s the pressure she went to the Grand Final, eventually reaching a decent 10th place, earning 181 points.
After Eurovision, Laura Tesoro had a successful year, playing at numerous concerts and shows, and becoming co-host of the popular TV-shows Belgium’s Got Talent and The Band (A Belgian-Dutch co-production), and becoming one of the coaches for The Voice Kids. She also voiced main characters Vaiana and Princess Poppy in the Flemish versions of the Disney movies Vaiana and Trolls.
