The Slovak public broadcaster, STV, announced some two weeks ago that the names of the acts to compete at the first stages of the country's national selection for Eurovision 2010 would be made public in December. Now, the station have scheduled the announcement on December 15th.

The broadcaster states that "hundreds of entries" have been received and the jury have already selected the best songs to participate at the national selection for Eurovision 2010, Eurosong. The names of those contributions will be announced on Tuesday, December 15th.

The 2010 Slovak national selection method will feature 3 preliminary rounds, to be held by mid-January. A semifinal and a final will be held thereafter.

In 2009, Slovakia was represented by Kamil MikulÄ�ík & Nela Pocisková, who finished 18th (second last) in the second semi final with Let' tmou.
