BHRT, the national broadcaster of Bosnia and Herzegovina have announced the rules of the country's preselection for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. Once more the Bosnian candidate will be selected internally by a special jury appointed by the General Director of BHRT.
Interested parties are invited to submit their proposals to BHRT until 20th of December. Although the performers have to have B & H citizenship, the competition is open to foreign composers and lyricists.
The winning song will be presented on 7th March on a prime time show which will be broadcast on BHT 1, BHR and BHT1 Satellite (provisional date).
Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993 for the first time. Their best placing to date came in 2006, when Hari Mata Hari came third with Lajla, a sentimental Balkan ballad by Serbian Zeljko Joksimovic. In 2009, rock band Regina entered the top 10 in the final with Bistra voda.
