Estonian national selection for Eurovision 2010 is already underway. Eesti Laul will once again be the method that ERR will follow in order to select a song to represent them in Oslo. Songs can be submitted until the 7th of January and the lucky winner will be announced on March 6th. It had been feared that Estonia might not participate at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest due to financial issues.

A total of ten entries selected by an internal jury will take part in the open competition to be aired on ERR's tv division, ETV, under the name Eesti Laul 2010, a selection process that has been shortened and simplified owing to financial difficulties finally relieved thanks to a donation by the foundation Estonia Enterprise.

The national broadcaster has called for songs, that can be submitted until January 7th. The winner, to be decided by a mixture of jury vote and public vote, will be announced on March 6th, the day of the 2010 national final in Estonia.

ERR officials are happy with their preparations of the 2010 Eurovision season. As an example, Mr. Mart Normet, entertainment manager, said that the selection of the songs will remain the same as last year: "The way we chose the songs last year fully justified the result, so we will not reinvent the wheel this time", explained Normet.

Estonia was represented in Moscow 2009 by Urban Symphony and the song Rändajad, landing on 6th place in the final.
