RTL 4, a commercial television station in the Netherlands has conducted a poll regarding the country's poor results at the most recent editions of the Eurovision Song Contest. A total number of 500 people participated and the results are not very optimistic: 86% of the questioned people would agree with a Eurovision withdrawal.

It seems that more and more countries are willing to withdraw from the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. The Netherlands is the latest nation where the idea of quitting Europe’s most beloved show invaded its citizens, according to a poll organized by RTL 4, a popular commercial television station in the country.

Based on a swatch of 500 Dutch citizens, the poll revealed that 86% of the questioned people would agree with a possible Eurovision withdrawal as they declare themselves unsatisfied with the poor results of the Netherlands.

The questionnaire was conducted for a special TV show based on the public's opinion and puts TROS, the Eurovision national broadcaster, into a very uncomfortable situation, as they didn't announced any plans for Oslo.

For the last 5 years, The Netherlands failed to qualifyfor the big final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Their last result is a disappointing 17th place out of 19 participating countries in the second semi final of the 2009 edition.
