Hera Björk will be back on the Eurovision scene again this year. One of her compositions has been shorlisted among the competing songs in the Icelandic Eurovision national final. Hera nearly represented Denmark last year with the song Someday, which narrowly missed out going to Moscow. Eventhough she didn't make it as a candidate to Moscow, she was one of the backing vocalists for the Icelandic entry. She accompanied Yohanna on stage along with Fridrik Omar.

Hera Björk will be back this year and might try to represent Iceland at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest.One of hersongshas made it to the Icelandic semifinals.First and foremost she has to win the Icelandic national final in order to represent Iceland.

She is considered to be among Iceland's most well-known singers. Hera is not a new face on the Eurovisionscene as she has appearedtwice already on theEurovision stage asbacking vocalist for 2 Icelandic entries.She wasa backingvocalistfor Euroband in 2008 and forYohanna in2009 She gained much fame and recognition early thisyear when she was therunner up at the Danish Eurovision national final with the song Someday and narrowly missed out on representing Denmark at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest.
